Week 11: Project brief was given this week.

Week 12: We worked on this project until 12, then went to CODA to see an exhibition.

First I put the picture with the birds and put it as a hue filter.[/caption][caption id="attachment_591" align="alignnone" width="1917"]
Then, I put the galaxy picture and tried it as a difference filter, but I was not satisfied.[/caption][caption id="attachment_592" align="alignnone" width="1917"]
I then tried it as a subtract filter and was happy with it.[/caption][caption id="attachment_593" align="alignnone" width="1917"]
Then, I used another of the pictures I took and turned down the opacity.[/caption][caption id="attachment_594" align="alignnone" width="1917"]

After that, I added the words 'don't go' and adjusted it as if it was on the road.[/caption][caption id="attachment_596" align="alignnone" width="1917"]
Then I added the word 'GO' at the end of the road.[/caption][caption id="attachment_597" align="alignnone" width="1917"]
For a final touch, I made the whole piece as a brush preset and used that to do a divide filter.[/caption]Week 13:

Week 13: They thought I pulled the viewer in with the "GO" and "don't go". Ms Sherry thought that I showed how dirty the road was. It isn't obvious at first but if you look closely as you walk that road, the sides of it is littered with rubbish.
Reflections
Experience:
Week 11: I didn't really plan where to take my pictures so I just wandered around the campus and just took pictures where I felt like it.
Week 12: When I decided to shoot the road on the way to class, I was inspired to capture the feeling I get when I wake up in the morning still tired and dreading to go to class and the nagging voice in my head that says if I don't go, I might miss out something important that was said in class.
Week 13: I found that it was quite refreshing to be able to express how I feel about a place. To be honest I didn't really have any idea which place to focus on so I went for an easily accessible place for me.
Observations:
Week 11: Some locations looked nice in person, but when I took a picture of it, the same charm was not captured.
Week 12: I had some trouble deciding what filter to use for the galaxy picture.
Week 13: I overlapped multiple pictures to show how I have mixed feelings while walking down that road. On some days, I want to go for class, other days I feel insanely tired.
Findings:
Week 11: Some pictures were not used in the end.
Week 12: I decided on the subtract filter.
Week 13: I found that it was a nice contrast of the reddish and blueish tints in the piece.
