Exercises
For this project, we were given an essay and was instructed to do an illustration based on that essay. It also will have to be animated later on.
Week 8:
Inspiration for my color palette of my work.

We also had to do presentation slides for color boards, mood boards and concept boards.
Week 9:

Reflections

Experience:Week 8: I kept re-reading the essay I was given but it felt like I could not understand it at all. It took quite a few days before the plot sunk into me.
Week 9: Some of the photographs are stock photos while a few are also taken by me. The two black and white photos especially inspired me to come up with the final idea.
Week 10: Most of this week is thinking which colors and ideas to use in the final piece.
Week 11: This week was spent putting my ideas in motion. I had several reference photos, so I had a rough idea of what I was doing.
Week 12: We were instructed to create GIFs during this week and I finished in the class itself. It's nice to know that I am done with project 1 and 2 of this module.

Observations:
Week 8: I was confused as to whether the essay is called 'Maybe Today' or 'Maybe Tomorrow' because the file was named one and in the written passage it was named another.
Week 9: Compiling all the photos into the slides took a while. I thought it would be shorter, but with the amount of reference pictures I have, it was longer than I expected.
Week 10: I went for one of the color palettes I found online.
Week 11:  I was juggling between different colors of the background.
Week 12: I was not able to decide on which GIF I wanted to use.

Findings:
Week 8: I just used the name of the file. It does not really matter as what I needed to focus on was the story and the part I was going to illustrate.
Week 9: It was satisfying to see everything arranged in the slideshow. I felt that it was a very neat layout that can clarify ideas.
Week 10: I found that the color palette had a very nostalgic feel to it. It also has a wide enough range of colors to create a dramatic contrast.
Week 11: I went into the mid-range kind of shadow. I wanted some to be dark but at the same time the details still can be seen.
Week 12: I think that the first two just felt like flashing lights, which you wouldn't find anywhere near an old folks' home, but the third one was more of a subtle lighting.
