Project 1 Lecture Notes Lecture 9 (29/05/19): Rhythm, Movement & Harmony
Week 9: Rhythm can be described as timed movement through space; an easy, connected path along which the eye follows a regular arrangement of motifs. The presence of rhythm creates predictability and order in a composition. Lecture 10 (04/06/19)
Week 10: No lecture as it is Raya break. Lecture 11 (12/06/19)
Week 11: We were given project 2 brief.

Week 10:
[caption id="attachment_499" align="alignnone" width="1917"] I made the outline have a 3D effect and did the skin.[/caption][caption id="attachment_500" align="alignnone" width="1917"] Made the hair blue.[/caption][caption id="attachment_501" align="alignnone" width="1917"] Added a background with a watercolour effect.[/caption][caption id="attachment_502" align="alignnone" width="1917"] Changed the hair to have a similar shade as mine in real life.[/caption][caption id="attachment_503" align="alignnone" width="1917"] Desaturated the skin a bit.[/caption][caption id="attachment_504" align="alignnone" width="1917"] Made the background brighter.[/caption][caption id="attachment_498" align="alignnone" width="3508"] When I was working on it on my tablet, the colors displayed was more saturated than I expected, thus leading to the image looking less saturated than I intended on my laptop screen.[/caption][caption id="attachment_505" align="alignnone" width="1917"] Ended up increasing the saturation of the skin.[/caption]
Week 11: Submission. This is the final piece:
Feedback
Week 11: My classmates thought that it was nice, but I personally thought that it was subpar. I hope I can do something more creative in the next project.
Reflections
Experience:
Week 11: I did not really know what to do for my portrait at first, so I explored what I liked, and that was watercolor. At the same time I hardly used digital before so I thought it would be nice to mix both together.
Observations:
Week 11: The colors displayed on my tablet is more saturated than when it appears on my laptop screen.
Findings:
Week 11: I have to tweak some of my color settings of my tablet.
