Reflections
Experience:
During the first week working on this project, we were showed the original advertisements in which we were about to recreate. I was hoping to get to work on the horror theme, and to my luck, I ended up in the group doing that. I helped to type out the roles of the members and created the chat group. I was in the role of art director, so what I mostly did was just help bring the props to the shoot and work on the costume and makeup of the actors.
Observations:
At first, I did not expect to have the video shoot during the night. We started at 7PM and recorded up until 1AM. By the end of it, we were extremely tired. I felt like I could not function after that.
Findings:
Now that I think about it, having the video shoot at night makes sense. We were shooting a horror themed video, so darkness and eerie lighting is important. I don't think we could have achieved the same effect if we were to shoot in the day, even if we were in the same room.
